Professional work
Allumette
Character footsteps, fabric movement, and sound implementation for Penrose Studios’ VR film.
I contributed Foley, sound editing, and Unreal Engine audio implementation to Penrose Studios’ VR film Allumette.
Giving movement a physical presence
My work included creating and editing character footsteps for different surfaces, fabric movement, and other sound effects. I replaced and refined existing sounds, brought the assets into Unreal, and connected them to character animations.
Iterating in the film
I worked through the experience in the build and prepared comparisons so the team could review changes in context. That connection between sound creation, timing, implementation, and review is a part of audio work I particularly enjoy.
This was a contribution to the film’s audio team; I’m describing my own Foley and implementation work here.
